About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining science, customer relationships and business development. As an Account Manager, you will take ownership of sales development within your territory, manage and grow existing accounts, identify new business opportunities and work closely with customers to understand their scientific needs. You will collaborate with Novogene’s technical and commercial teams to provide appropriate genomic and multi-omics solutions while building a strong and sustainable customer network across Ontario.

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve revenue and business-growth targets.
  • Identify and develop new customers across universities, research institutes, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
  • Manage and grow existing accounts while building long-term, trusted customer relationships.
  • Develop new sales opportunities and manage them through the full sales cycle, from initial engagement to quotation, negotiation and closure.
  • Understand customer research needs and work with internal technical teams to recommend appropriate sequencing and multi-omics solutions.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Novogene’s products, services and relevant developments in genomics and life sciences.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular forecasts and business updates.
  • Represent Novogene at scientific conferences, customer meetings and industry events.
  • Travel within the territory as required.

  • Previous commercial, sales or business-development experience within the life-sciences industry is preferred.
  • Experience working with academic, biotechnology or pharmaceutical customers would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new customers and build long-term business relationships.
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercially minded, proactive and results driven.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, home-office environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple customers and opportunities.
