Account Manager, Contractor

About the Role & Team
Reporting to China Core team leader, the Account Manager will be responsible for managing and selling to Violet Liu’s Huawei and XFusion customer when Violet is on maternity leave until end of November or early December 2026. The role requires a proven acumen for selling a wide portfolio of technology research, business consulting, marketing services and event sponsorships, to senior level functions within these accounts.

What You’ll Do

• Sales bookings achievement in line with monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Business development and solution-based selling within the defined territory across IDC's products and services.
• Account Management of existing and new clients within the territory.
• Accurate sales CRM database updating in Salesforce.com Plan and execution of a sales strategy to develop relationships and build account plans to identify and drive new business opportunities.
• Achieve goals with positive collaboration with all IDC business units comprising Research, Data, Consulting, Content Marketing Services and Event Sponsorship.
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. MBA is a plus.
• At least 8-10 years of external experience with proven consultative sales, along with strong written, analytical, verbal communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate success working independently to sell complex products and services to technology vendors, preferably experience in Infrastructure/Software/Services related IT, ODM/OEM, Client Devices vendors.
• The ability to build relationships at C-level and senior level within a company and the ability to set a sales strategy to develop new business as well as incremental sales with existing clients.
• Prior market research industry, or technical, sales experience is a plus.
• Be able to communicate in English to manage multi-national communication internally and externally.
• Ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, collaborative, and a self-starter.
