Account Manager - Local Payments

What you'll do Identify, approach, and onboard new merchants across various industries to use our payment services (e.g., POS terminals, QR payments, e-wallets). Build and maintain strong relationships with existing merchants to drive usage, retention, and satisfaction. Negotiate merchant discount rates (MDRs), commercial terms, and service agreements. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product, tech, and operations) to support smooth onboarding and integration. Serve as the main point of contact for merchant queries, support, and escalations. Monitor account and portfolio performance, track transaction volumes, and identify growth opportunities. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs in the payments and fintech space. What we expect from you Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in merchant acquisition, business development, or account management, preferably in fintech, banking, payments, or e-commerce. Proven experience in closing deals and managing a high-volume portfolio. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Customer-focused mindset with a strong drive to exceed targets and KPIs. Self-starter with strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to coordinate with international partners and stakeholders. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback.
