Account Manager - Senior Account Manager
London | Hybrid (3 days in office)
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 DOE + potential commission + benefits
We are working with a growing sports marketing agency looking for a Partnerships Activation Manager / Senior Account Manager to manage a major brand partnership within Formula 1.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong sponsorship activation experience who enjoys delivering creative campaigns, building client relationships and wants to get more involved in the commercial side of sports marketing.
The agency has an impressive portfolio of international clients and a strong reputation within motorsport. With ambitions to expand further into other sports, they’re now looking to grow their partnerships and activation offering.
It’s a relatively small, entrepreneurial agency where you’ll have plenty of autonomy, the opportunity to contribute ideas and a genuine chance to influence how the business develops.
The Role
Initially, your main focus will be managing and activating a high-profile Formula 1 sponsorship for a global consumer brand.
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the partnership, working closely with the brand, rights holder and internal teams to ensure campaigns and activations are delivered effectively.
The partnership covers everything from creative content and social media to PR, hospitality, retail activations and events.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of a major international sports sponsorship.
- Building strong relationships with clients, rights holders and other key stakeholders.
- Overseeing the planning and delivery of creative sponsorship campaigns and activations.
- Coordinating internal teams across content, social, PR and events.
- Managing timelines, budgets, contractual rights and project delivery.
- Supporting hospitality programmes, events and retail partner activations.
- Contributing creative ideas to maximise the impact of the partnership.
- Supporting new business opportunities and helping to develop the agency’s wider activation offering.
The Opportunity
What makes this role particularly interesting is the opportunity to grow beyond traditional account management.
Alongside managing a major sponsorship, you’ll work closely with the senior leadership team to help develop the agency’s activation business, contribute to new partnership opportunities and gain exposure to the commercial side of sponsorship.
The agency has ambitious plans to grow, both within motorsport and across other sports, so there’s plenty of scope for someone who wants to take on more responsibility as the business develops.
About You
We’re looking for someone with a solid background in sports sponsorship activation, ideally gained within a sports marketing agency or rights holder.
You’ll need to be comfortable managing clients, coordinating multiple stakeholders and delivering campaigns from concept through to execution.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience managing and activating sports sponsorships.
- Strong account and project management skills.
- Experience delivering creative, integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
- Confidence managing clients, rights holders and external partners.
- Good commercial awareness and an interest in sponsorship sales and new business.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive, collaborative and entrepreneurial approach.
- The confidence to contribute ideas and take ownership of your work.
Formula 1 experience is not essential. We’re equally interested in people who have delivered strong sponsorship activations across other sports.
Why Join?
- Work on a major global sports sponsorship with plenty of creative activation opportunities.
- Join a growing agency with an impressive international client portfolio.
- Gain exposure to both sponsorship activation and the commercial side of the business.
- Work directly with senior leadership and have a genuine voice in how the agency develops.
- Enjoy a collaborative, sociable and entrepreneurial working environment.
- Plenty of autonomy, responsibility and opportunities for progression.
- Potential commission linked to commercial projects.
- Hybrid working, private healthcare and additional benefits.
