What challenges you´ll be solving 🚀

As Account Manager SMB Portugal, you will own and grow our portfolio of small and medium merchants in Portugal. Your goal is simple: make every merchant sell more with seQura, by driving activation, adoption and volume across their channels.

You will join the International team and work closely with different teams.

What you'll do

  • Manage a portfolio of SMB merchants in Portugal end to end, from onboarding and go-live to growth and retention.

  • Drive volume (COV) and adoption: make sure seQura is visible and well positioned at checkout, in-store and in merchants' marketing.

  • Run regular account reviews with data on conversion, approval rates and performance, and turn insights into action plans.

  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, such as new payment methods, channels or brands within the same group.

  • Act as the merchant's main point of contact, coordinating with Risk, Operations and Support to solve issues quickly.

  • Spot churn risks early and lead retention conversations.

  • Share market feedback with Product and Marketing, and support local events and campaigns in Portugal.

  • Keep the CRM and pipeline up to date and report on portfolio performance.

What we're looking for

  • 2–4 years of experience in account management, customer success or B2B sales, ideally with SMB clients.

  • Native or fluent Portuguese, plus professional English. Spanish is a plus (see below).

  • Strong knowledge of the Portuguese retail or e-commerce market.

  • Commercial mindset: you are comfortable with targets, negotiation and growing revenue within existing accounts.

  • Analytical skills: you use data to prepare account reviews and prioritise your portfolio.

  • Ability to manage many accounts at once with structure and autonomy.

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Ambition, transparency, collaboration, respect and flexibility: the values we hire for.

Nice to have

  • Experience in fintech, payments, BNPL or SaaS.

  • Spanish and at a working level.

  • A network among Portuguese merchants, e-commerce platforms or agencies.

  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot or similar) and BI tools such as Metabase.
