The role
You carry several eCommerce client files at once, each with their own books and deadlines. Reconciliations, A/P, A/R, journal entries, month-end close, on every file. Our clients are 7- to 9-figure brands, and we work to a five-day close.
We are hiring for multi-client and full cycle. Multi-client means separate clients, not entities inside one company. Full cycle means you have carried a client from bank feed through to a closed month, not just A/P, A/R, or reconciliations.
Your work is reviewed by an accounting manager or senior accountant before it reaches the client, and you are expected to make that review short.
Must have
- 3+ years in accounting or bookkeeping, in a firm, BPO, or international multi-client environment
- A professional accounting qualification, or one in progress: ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA, ACA, Contador Público, or your country's equivalent
- Multiple clients, not multiple entities. You have worked across separate client books with their own deadlines and stakeholders. Several subsidiaries of one company in one system is a different job and does not count here.
- Full cycle bookkeeping: reconciliations, A/P, A/R, journal entries, accruals and prepaids
- You have worked to a month-end close and met it. Fixed deadlines preferred. If yours has been rolling, be ready to talk about how you would adapt.
- QuickBooks Online or Xero experience. We will fund your QuickBooks Online certification during onboarding if you do not have it.
- You can follow written instructions precisely, including format, naming, and deadlines, without being reminded.
- Experience working with clients or employers outside your own country, ideally the US, Canada, the UK, or Australia
- English strong enough to be understood in writing and on a live call
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- eCommerce or consumer goods clients
- Inventory and COGS experience
- Sales tax and multi-jurisdiction compliance
- ClickUp or similar project management tools
What you will do
- Full-cycle bookkeeping across a portfolio of client files
- Support month-end close: reconciliations, schedules, supporting workpapers
- Record payroll entries, prepaids, and accruals accurately
- Prepare sales tax filings and remittances
- Check your own work before it goes to review. Catching your own errors is part of the job.
- Raise discrepancies clearly and early, with what you have already checked
- Action review notes fully and on time, including the ones that were not itemised for you
What the job actually looks like
- Month end is the most demanding period of the month and falls within the first ten business days. It eases considerably after that.
- You are expected to book around 39 hours a week to client work, tracked accurately.
- Your first two weeks are onboarding, not client work. How you handle that period tells us a lot.
- When you are stuck, you come with the problem and what you have already tried. You do not wait for a scheduled call to raise it.
- Some of our processes are mature, and others are still being built. Tell us when you hit a gap.
This role is not for you if
- You need each piece of work handed to you and itemised
- You wait for a scheduled call to raise something rather than flagging it the same day
- You assume an explanation for something that looks wrong instead of checking it
- You are looking for a calmer or less demanding environment. This is public accounting; it is busy by design, and month-end has real pressure in it.
- Working full EST hours would be a strain on your health or your life
- Your current role is AP only, AR only, or audit rather than full cycle accounting
