Accountant

ACCOUNTANT We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as an accountant with at least 2 years experience in basic accounting/bookkeeping. We are looking to fill a part-time position (12-15 hours/week) with a flexible daily schedule that is completely remote. The accountant’s responsibilities are: MUST know how to operate in Great Plains Prepare and record month-end closing journal entries, run month-end reports and analysis Process full-cycle accounts payable Initiate wires and ACH through online banking Reconcile general ledger accounts Reconcile bank accounts Maintain fixed asset records Reconcile company credit card accounts Prepare servicing reports for 3rd parties Prepare 1099-MISC and 1099-INT at year end Assist in preparation of audit schedules for annual financial statement audit Establish and maintain effective relationships with all departments and outside vendors and customers To be successful we think you will need… A Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or in the process of earning one) Knowledge of the insurance industry (specifically private passenger auto lines) is a plus Solid understanding of financial statements Ability to operate in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment Inherent ability to pay attention to detail- comes with the territory High energy level, positive attitude, strong work ethic and results oriented
