TOPS is headquartered in Naperville, IL with employees and locations across North America. Accountant We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our headquarters in Naperville. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and supply chain, while maintaining flexibility between in-office collaboration and remote work. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the close process, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will report into our Finance Director. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Perform account reconciliations, including inventory, fixed assets, and accruals Support inventory accounting, including valuation, adjustments, and analysis Assist in cost accounting activities, including standard cost updates and variance analysis Assist in revenue-related activities, including invoicing and credit memo reviews Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation for internal and external auditors Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and GAAP standards Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve efficiency and accuracy Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2–5 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and non-finance stakeholders Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability What We Offer Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401(k)) Paid time off & Holidays Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Collaborative and dynamic work environment Onsite location: Naperville, Illinois Job Type: Inside (sheltered) 100% Exempt Status / Full-time / Days Average Hours: 40 hours per week Comp Range: $62,150 - $82,775
