Accountant

Role Summary The role will support the Director of Accounting & Compliance and be responsible for assisting in management reporting, financial reporting and compliance for the NA Division. Key Role Specific Requirements Production of monthly management accounts packs within 5 working days of month end. General ledger accounting, including journal entry and account reconciliation. Perform reconciliations of key accounts, including bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets. Ownership of month-end balance sheet reconciliations. Supporting Accounts payable and Accounts receivable teams. Involvement in the year-end statutory audit. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls. Assist in the implementation of new procedures and systems. Assist with ad hoc requests from both the finance and external teams within the company. Ad Hoc project work as required. Essential requirements Professional Accounting qualification of ACA/ACCA/CPA required Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) , with 3–7 years of relevant professional experience preferred. Team player with a collaborative style. Highly organised and able to work under pressure. Strong technical accounting skills. Strong appreciation of a robust framework of internal controls and reconciliations. Advanced excel user and strong system skills required. Desirable: Experience in manufacturing/production/supply chain industry sector is a distinct advantage.
