At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients across the accounting, finance, and professional services industries.
We are seeking an analytical, commercially minded Senior Financial Accountant to manage end-to-end financial reporting, compliance, and cost audit operations for a multi-entity Australian manufacturing business. In this 100% remote role, you will oversee statutory ATO tax compliance (BAS), cash flow forecasting, accounts receivable debt collection, purchasing cost audits, and workflow automation. You will work directly with the CEO, branch managers, and external tax advisors to deliver strategic financial insights and streamline operational spend.
Your Impact
Financial Reporting & Strategic Forecasting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities, construct rolling cash flow forecasts and P&L projections, perform variance analysis, and provide strategic insights to the CEO.
ATO Compliance & Tax Governance: Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), maintain accurate GST records, collaborate with external Australian CPAs for year-end tax returns, and ensure full compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
Purchasing & Consumables Cost Auditing: Audit site-level consumable purchases and machine R&M expenditure, construct supplier spend dashboards, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and flag purchasing anomalies.
Process Streamlining & AI Tools: Streamline ordering/purchasing workflows, establish spending thresholds and approval matrices, support stone slab inventory reporting, and assist in building AI-assisted financial tools and automated dashboards.
Accounts Receivable & Debt Collection: Manage multi-entity AR aging, run end-to-end debt collection protocols (statements, escalations, payment follow-ups), resolve client invoice disputes with sales teams, and submit weekly AR summaries to leadership.
General Finance & Operations: Oversee accounts payable, bank and credit card reconciliations, general ledger maintenance in Xero, and ad hoc commercial tasks requested by the CEO.
What You Bring
The Experience: Minimum 5 years of overall accounting experience, including at least 3 years supporting an Australian business ($5M+ annual revenue) with demonstrated experience preparing BAS returns, managing debt collection, and auditing supply costs. Experience in manufacturing, construction, trade, or wholesale environments is strongly preferred.
Credentials & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (required). CPA, CA, or equivalent professional credential is preferred. Xero certification or demonstrated advanced proficiency is required.
Software & Systems Competency: Advanced Xero and Microsoft Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, custom dashboards). Familiarity with inventory/ERP platforms like Cin7 and openness to utilizing AI process automation tools is a plus.
Commercial & Analytical Capabilities: Sharp analytical mindset to flag operational spending issues, strong commercial awareness of fabrication/manufacturing business drivers, high integrity, and strict confidentiality.
Autonomous Communication & Drive: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to communicate autonomously with branch managers, suppliers, and external advisors.
