Title: Accountant Summary of Role The accountant is a key team member in the company’s global accounting team, working with the International Accounting Manager to establish a world-class accounting organization. The accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting standards (GAAP). This role will handle various financial tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and providing valuable financial insights to support decision-making. How You’ll Succeed -Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, including journal entries and adjustments. -Perform day-to-day accounting activities. -Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to validate the accuracy and completeness of financial data. -Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. -Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accounting principles. -Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support internal and external audits. -Identify and investigate variances or discrepancies in financial records and take appropriate corrective actions. -Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure its accuracy and consistency. -Manage time well to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. -Advocate for themselves on possible solutions to processes. What You Bring -A strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, in process improvements, streamlining of financial operations, and implementation of best practices. -General understanding of accounting systems and ERP. -Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) -Attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work with numbers accurately are essential. -Proficiency in accounting software. -Excellent communication skills. -Proven experience collaborating with stakeholders and providing accurate financial information. -Being comfortable operating in a fast-paced, result-oriented growth environment. -Being a champion of predictability and assurance. -Great listener and written/verbal communication skills. -Self-motivated, individual contributor. -Willingness to be involved and drive change management.
