Accountant: Bookkeeping / VAT / Management Accounts · WFH

A2Z Accounting Solutions (a2zaccounting.co.uk) is a UK Chartered Certified Accountancy (ACCA) firm supporting UK limited-company clients. We are hiring a mid-level Accountant for our bookkeeping, VAT and management accounts team, to develop into a senior role.

Minimum 3 years UK practice experience is essential, including hands-on management accounts experience. This is a hands-on, client-facing role with a clear path to senior: you will run client work, prepare and interpret management accounts, and guide UK business owners on what their numbers mean.

What you will do

● Run bookkeeping, VAT and management accounts for a portfolio of UK clients

● Prepare and review VAT returns (MTD, flat rate, partial exemption, reconciliations)

● Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts with clear commentary

● Talk to clients, answer queries, and guide them on their numbers, not just report them

● Grow into a senior role over time: reviewing work and mentoring junior team members

You must have

● Minimum 3 years UK practice experience in bookkeeping, VAT and management accounts. This is a

hard requirement

● Solid hands-on management accounts experience (preparation and commentary)

● Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero and Dext

● Good working knowledge of UK tax

● Experience reviewing others' work

● Confidence advising and guiding UK business owners directly, not only answering queries

● Full, confident fluency in spoken and written English for daily UK client contact

Please do not apply if

● You have less than 3 years UK practice experience

● You have no hands-on management accounts experience

● Your experience is Indian bookkeeping or accounting only

● You work only at data-entry or bookkeeping-input level, not review and advisory

● You are not comfortable advising clients directly

● You are not fully fluent in spoken English

The role

● Full-time, work from home, UK hours (8am to 5pm, Mon to Fri)

● Dedicated to A2Z only: no other engagements

● Salary: INR 50,000 to 65,000 per month starting, depending on skills and experience, with progression to senior
