Accountant

Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial activities, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and credit card statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing. The role will also involve monitoring cash flow, assisting with tax preparation and compliance, and maintaining accurate documentation for audits and internal reviews. The Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support decision-making and cost optimization in a growing, global-focused environment. This is a full-time remote role.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency with accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar), and solid Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support financial planning and cost control.
• Understanding of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes relevant to corporate finance.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret financial data and present clear insights to stakeholders.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse, cross-border teams.
• Good written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are an advantage.
• Previous experience in a shared services, outsourcing, or co-working environment is beneficial, as is familiarity with regional business practices.
