Accountant and Advisory Senior Lead

As an Accountant and Advisory Lead Senior, you will be responsible for: · Client Management and Accounting Responsibilities Managing a client portfolio from bookkeeping to year-end closing, including bank reconciliation, closing journal entries, P&L analysis, and supporting schedules. Creating timely and accurate accounting reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. Detecting inaccuracies and investigating account discrepancies. Proposing recommendations to optimize accounting systems and procedures. Managing intercompany reconciliation. Participating in the consolidation process. · Leadership and Team Development Responsibilities Supervising team members in coordinating daily and weekly tasks and activities. Ensuring team adherence to processes and procedures. Focusing on operational efficiency and effective tax/accounting execution within the team. Training and developing team members to enhance their skills and performance. · Performance Management and Team Collaboration Recommending personnel management decisions for team members (e.g., promotions, performance evaluations). Leading or actively participating in structured team discussions, including: · Strategic Initiatives and Process Improvement Identifying opportunities for automation and improved efficiency in client processes. Leading small projects within the team to implement new tools and methodologies. Acting as a key liaison between the team and management to ensure alignment with strategic goals. · Completion of at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. · A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in accounting within an accounting firm. · Strong technical accounting skills, with expertise in bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and P&L analysis. · Proficiency in financial reporting, with the ability to produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. · Sharp analytical skills to detect inaccuracies and investigate account discrepancies. · Problem-solving abilities to propose recommendations for optimizing accounting systems and procedures. · Knowledge of intercompany reconciliation and managing transactions between entities. · Experience in financial consolidation processes for accurate statement preparation. · Leadership and mentoring capabilities to support and guide junior team members. · Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance and precision in all tasks. · Proficiency in multitasking while maintaining high efficiency without compromising quality. · Excellent time management skills to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. · Strong communication skills to effectively articulate complex accounting matters.
