We are seeking an Accountant in Huntsville AL.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, motivated Accountant to join our team in Huntsville, AL. If you enjoy working with numbers, improving processes, and supporting a dynamic business environment, this role offers a great opportunity to grow and make an impact.

A day in the life of an Accountant:
As an Accountant, you’ll play a key role in daily accounting operations. You will support AR reporting, monthly closing activities, and sales order processing. In this role, you will:
• Issue invoices and perform collections follow-up
• Support with entering sales orders and purchase requisitions
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support month-end close tasks
• Analyze and maintain financial and business transactions
• Apply accounting principles to provide analytical, evaluative, and advisory insights
This position requires a solid understanding of accounting theory and practice, along with familiarity in related areas such as government contracting and general management principles.

• Proven Excel skills
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint (a plus, but not required)

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 2-3 years of related work experience

Salary Transparency:

Octave Federal provides compensation information in accordance with applicable multi‑state pay transparency laws. The projected annual salary range for this position is $55,000.00 to $75,000.00 (USD). Actual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as work location, education, experience, skills, organizational requirements, and contract‑specific budget parameters. This range reflects what is typically offered for the role and represents only one component of Octave Federal’s total compensation package, which may also include benefits and other forms of remuneration.
