Accounting Analyst, Brazil

Location: São Paulo, SP, Brazil

Why should you join Accruent?

Accruent is a global leader in intelligent solutions that help organizations optimize the lifecycle of their assets and facilities. As an Accounting Analyst, you will join our Global Accounting organization and play an important role in delivering accurate, timely, and well-supported financial information. You will build broad accounting experience across U.S. GAAP, Brazil statutory requirements, month-end close, internal controls, and global accounting processes while partnering with colleagues across Accounting, Tax, Finance, Treasury, and Compliance. This is an opportunity to strengthen your accounting expertise in an international software organization while taking meaningful ownership of your work.

What this role entails

  • Own assigned accounting activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, rollforwards, account analysis, and supporting schedules across monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
  • Apply U.S. GAAP, Accruent accounting policies, and established procedures, investigating reconciling items and unusual balances and following issues through to resolution.
  • Support accounting and reporting requirements for Accruent’s Brazil operations, while maintaining complete, accurate, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Perform assigned internal controls and contribute to SOX compliance and internal and external audits, providing accurate and timely documentation and supporting evidence.
  • Use NetSuite, BlackLine, TOTVS and Microsoft Excel for accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and analysis, while contributing to continuous-improvement and finance-transformation initiatives.

You will collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional partners in a global environment, communicating priorities, deadlines, and accounting matters clearly and proactively.

What we are looking for?

Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting and at least 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
  • Foundational understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles, with hands-on experience in areas such as journal entries, account reconciliations, account analysis, or financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and analytical functionality, plus experience working with an ERP or financial accounting system.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment.
  • Familiarity with SOX/internal controls, audit support, multinational accounting environments, Brazil statutory accounting, NetSuite, or BlackLine is an advantage.

Personal / Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ownership and accountability for assigned responsibilities, including the ability to independently investigate accounting issues.
  • Ability to organize multiple priorities and deliver against deadlines, particularly during close periods.
  • Clear, proactive communication and a collaborative approach to working across functions and geographies.
  • Adaptability and a continuous-improvement mindset, with an interest in process efficiency and automation.
