ABOUT THE ROLE The United Football League (UFL) is seeking a detail oriented Temp. Accounting Associate to support the league’s day to day accounting operations. This position will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and assisting with financial reporting across the organization. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the financial operations of a growing professional sports league while collaborating with team members across Finance and other business functions. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines. WHAT YOU WILL DO Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Process invoices, expense reports, and related accounting transactions. Prepare and upload journal entries in support of monthly close activities. Perform account reconciliations and assist with investigating discrepancies. Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts. Conduct account analysis to support financial reporting and operational decision-making. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and supporting schedules. Review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation. Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team. Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned. WHAT YOU WILL BRING Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, finance or related experience. Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliation process. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working in accounting systems; Netsuite experience is a plus. Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism. ADDITIONAL DETAILS This is a part-time, temporary role working up to 29 hours per week. Anticipated duration of this position is through December 31, 2026. The location of this role is flexible and the league will consider remote candidates. Limited travel may be required for meetings, league events and business needs. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
