Description Accounting & Finance Internship NetGain Technologies is seeking an ambitious and motivated intern to join our Accounting and Finance team. As an Accounting & Finance Intern, you’ll play an active role in supporting key financial operations — from managing recurring accounting transactions to contributing to the monthly close process and financial analysis. This is a paid, hybrid internship (a mix of remote and in-person work), requiring approximately 20 hours per week. Primary Responsibilities include: · Post and reconcile daily cash receipts to ensure accurate financial records · Process accounts payable transactions with precision and timeliness · Perform monthly bank, accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP) reconciliations · Partner with the CFO on margin, profitability, and performance analysis · Contribute to the month-end close process and assist with financial reporting · Support process improvement initiatives within the accounting function · Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance financial visibility and efficiency The ideal candidate will · Have hands-on experience with accounting systems · Manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail · Think critically and apply sound judgment to problem-solving · Embrace technology and leverage tools to improve accuracy and efficiency · Work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team · Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally · Demonstrate initiative, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn · Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills · Maintain a proactive, can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment Qualifications · Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field · Strong academic foundation in accounting principles and financial analysis · Exceptional written and verbal communication skills · Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines · Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Business Central accounting software is a plus · Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment · High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to continuous learning · Customer-focused mindset with a passion for operational excellence Professional Overview · In business since 1984 · Fast growing, large regional business across the Midwest & Southeast Region · Ranked as a top MSP in the World by MSP Mentor · Professionally managed using Best in Class metrics and procedures Frequently cited statistics show that women and underrepresented groups apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications.
