The Accounting Intern will support the finance team by processing accounts payable transactions and responding to vendor inquiries, assisting the accounts receivable with billing and invoicing needs and performing various accounting related tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Related
- Process vendor invoices through Softco, an AP automation tool. Includes inventory, expense and freight related activity.
- Review vendor statements for accuracy and request invoices or credits when needed.
General Finance Related
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Perform month end close related duties as assigned
- Assist with data entry, filing, and organization of financial documents
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
- Currently Juniors or Seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with Excel and accounting software
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management
- Detail oriented
This temporary position is not benefits eligible.
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $19 – $19 per year.
