Application Deadline: Apply at Verofiber.com/careers by 10/15/2026 to be considered POSITION SUMMARY Vero is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting and financial integration of newly acquired businesses while supporting the continued development of our finance organization. This is not a traditional Accounting Manager role focused solely on month-end close. Instead, this position combines technical accounting, mergers and acquisitions, financial systems, and operational leadership into one highly visible role. During acquisition and integration periods, you will serve as the accounting lead, partnering closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure successful financial integrations. Outside of active M&A cycles, you will focus on strategic finance initiatives, including ERP enhancements, process automation, accounting system improvements, technical accounting projects, and building scalable processes that support Vero's continued growth. This position requires regular travel to acquired business locations throughout the United States. Successful candidates enjoy working directly with people, learning how businesses operate, leading change, and translating operational processes into scalable accounting solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES M&A Integration Lead the accounting workstream for mergers and acquisitions from close through full financial integration. Travel to acquired business locations to lead accounting integrations and serve as Finance's primary on-site representative. Build strong relationships with newly acquired leadership teams while gaining an understanding of existing financial and operational processes. Coordinate post-acquisition integration activities across Accounting, Finance, Operations, IT, HR, and Executive Leadership. Develop integration plans, timelines, and accounting transition milestones. Standardize accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting across acquired businesses. Identify integration risks and recommend practical solutions. Technical Accounting Lead purchase accounting activities in accordance with ASC 805. Coordinate purchase price allocation support alongside external valuation specialists. Prepare acquisition-related journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Support goodwill, intangible asset, and opening balance sheet accounting. Research and document technical accounting conclusions related to acquisitions and other complex transactions. Partner with external auditors during acquisitions and year-end audits. Financial Systems & Process Improvement Lead and support financial system integrations for newly acquired businesses. Assist with ERP implementations, migrations, and enhancements, with a strong preference for NetSuite experience. Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes and improve reporting efficiency. Develop scalable accounting workflows that support future acquisitions. Partner with Finance Systems and IT to improve financial reporting and data integrity. Build repeatable integration playbooks and standardized accounting processes. Corporate Accounting Support month-end close and consolidated financial reporting across multiple legal entities. Prepare and review complex journal entries and account reconciliations. Assist with intercompany accounting and consolidations. Support external audits and financial reporting requirements. Participate in strategic accounting initiatives and special projects. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Demonstrated experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including financial integrations. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and purchase accounting (ASC 805). Experience working within multi-entity organizations. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Ability and willingness to travel approximately one week per month on average, with travel potentially increasing to up to two weeks per month during active acquisitions and integration projects. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Telecommunications, broadband, or infrastructure industry experience. NetSuite ERP experience. Experience with ERP implementations and financial system integrations. Experience leading post-acquisition financial integrations. Experience with fixed assets, capital projects, and intercompany accounting. CPA or other relevant professional certification. Supervisory or team leadership experience. JOB DETAILS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position requires the ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods of time, using a computer and other office equipment. This position requires the ability to perform fine motor tasks, such as typing or using a mouse, for extended period of time. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday during normal business hours, with weeknight and weekend availability as needed to fulfill the core duties of the role. This position is hybrid or remote in Colorado. This is an Exempt position. This is a management position. This position requires moderate travel ability to travel regularly for activities such as out-of-town meetings, trainings, projects, up to 25% of the time. Employees in this category travel regularly, but not extensively. They may visit projects sites or attend meetings in different locations on a regular basis but typically do not need to be away from home for extended periods of time. COMPENSATION, BENEFITS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $100,000 – $130,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity. For Colorado-based applicants, the pay range and benefits listed above apply in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
