Our expanding organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the team. This person will take on the Accounting & Tax Manager position for Brazil, operating as the central point of expertise for financial reporting, tax responsibilities, statutory filings, audit management, tax reform preparation, and local controllership work. The role calls for a combination of strategic thinking and practical, on-the-ground execution, collaborating closely with external vendors, auditors, tax professionals, Global SSC teams, and senior finance stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Protect the reliability of accounting infrastructure and internal control systems following BR GAAP/CPC, US GAAP, and established company policies
- Direct the monthly closing workflow, including account reconciliations, journal entry recording, and balance sheet examination
- Contribute support during both statutory and tax audits, as well as SOX-related compliance work
- Promote effective collaboration between SSC team members, external accounting and tax service partners, auditors, and consultants
- Assume accountability for meeting Brazil's tax compliance demands, including IRPJ, CSLL, ISS, PIS, and COFINS
- Prepare the business to handle upcoming shifts in Brazilian tax regulation, especially those relating to CBS/IBS
- Participate in aligning statutory financial data with US GAAP requirements, overseeing associated reporting, advancing process improvements, and supporting integration efforts
Requirements
- A finished Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a tightly related subject area
- No less than five years of practical, relevant experience in accounting-related work
- A minimum of two years serving in a Senior, Lead, Manager, or Owner-level position
- Confirmed track record of effectively managing teams of five or more full-time staff
- Holding an active CRC registration is required without exception
- History of working in accounting, controllership, and/or tax roles based in Brazil
- Thorough knowledge of BR GAAP/CPC standards alongside exposure to US GAAP and/or IFRS principles
- Real-world, applied experience operating within SAP
- Solid English proficiency at a B2 level or greater

Carrying a relevant professional certification would be regarded as a plus
