Job description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Property Accounting team during the transition from Yardi to a new AI-enabled property management system, including testing, data validation, issue tracking, and troubleshooting.
• Review and verify accuracy of converted data, including general ledger balances, property-level data, vendor/customer information, charge codes, chart of accounts mapping, and reporting structure.
• Investigate system errors, data discrepancies, reporting issues, and user concerns; identify root causes and assist with resolution.
• Serve as a first point of contact for Accounting-related system issues and coordinate with IT, implementation partners, system support, and internal teams as needed.
• Assist Accounting users by walking them through system processes, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
• Help users understand how system automation and AI-enabled functionality impact accounting workflows, reporting, and data outputs.
• Track open issues, document resolutions, and help ensure follow-up is completed timely.
• Support month-end reporting by helping confirm that system reports are accurate, complete, and tied to supporting data.
• Assist with the development, testing, and maintenance of financial reports, including reporting structures similar to Yardi Account Trees.
• Help identify opportunities to improve reporting, data integrity, workflows, and system usability for the accounting team.
• Create and maintain documentation, job aids, and process notes related to system use, reporting, troubleshooting, and data validation.
• Partner with Accounting leadership to identify recurring issues and recommend process or system improvements.
• Support ad hoc data mining, report pulls, reconciliations, and analysis as needed.

Non-negotiable skills and requirements:

• Experience supporting accounting systems, ERP platforms, or property management systems (Yardi preferred).
• Strong understanding of financial data workflows, reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Experience with data validation, troubleshooting system issues, and resolving data discrepancies.
