About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Associate to join our UK team. Working remotely from South Africa, you will support the delivery of accounts assignments for a varied portfolio of UK clients while developing your technical knowledge and experience. This role is ideal for a recently qualified CA(SA), AGA(SA) or someone nearing the completion of their SAICA articles who is looking to build an international career within a supportive and collaborative environment. Previous UK experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training and support will be provided. Key Responsibilities Accounts & Financial Reporting · Prepare statutory financial statements under FRS 102. · Prepare year-end accounts and supporting schedules. · Complete reconciliations and working papers. · Assist with group reporting and other ad hoc accounting work. Client Support · Communicate professionally with UK clients via email and virtual meetings. · Respond to client queries in a timely manner. · Build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues. Team Collaboration · Work closely with Managers, Seniors and Partners across multiple engagements. · Support continuous improvement initiatives. · Maintain high-quality standards and meet agreed deadlines. Skills & Experience Essential · Qualified CA(SA), AGA(SA) or nearing completion of SAICA Articles. · Strong financial reporting knowledge. · Excellent analytical and organisational skills. · Strong written and verbal English communication skills. · Experience using Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage or similar accounting software. · Experience preparing financial statements. · Excellent attention to detail. · Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Desirable · Exposure to UK clients or UK accounting standards. · Experience using IRIS, CCH or other UK practice software. · Experience working within a cloud-based accounting environment.
