Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt.

Salary Range: $90,000 – $105,000 base compensation. This range represents a good faith estimate of the expected base salary for this position. Final base salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and alignment with market data.
LeafGuard, part of Great Day Improvements, is a leading provider of innovative gutter protection solutions, helping homeowners protect and maintain their homes. We are seeking a hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to lead daily accounts payable operations, strengthen financial controls, and ensure accurate, timely payments and reporting.
This position combines direct AP processing with team leadership, cash-flow visibility, intercompany coordination, and accounting support. The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee LeafGuard's AP Specialist while partnering closely with Englert's AP team, corporate accounting, vendors, and internal business leaders.
The ideal candidate brings strong AP experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance high-volume daily transactions with process improvements and team development. This role will also support LeafGuard's transition from Microsoft Dynamics AX to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, targeted for January 2027.
Responsibilities
Lead hands-on AP operations, including entering and processing invoices, check requests, vendor payments, customer refunds, damage settlements, employee reimbursements, and other approved disbursements, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and timely completion.
Manage and support AP team members, including direct supervision of the LeafGuard AP Specialist and coordination with Englert's AP function. Establish priorities, provide coaching and backup coverage, and maintain effective workflows across both businesses.
Oversee payment planning and cash visibility, including weekly AP projections, disbursement requests, payment schedules, daily funding coordination, purchasing forecasts, and assisting with the preparation and updating of the 26-week rolling cash-flow forecast.
Maintain strong financial and payment controls by reviewing invoice vouchers, payment journals, coding, allocations, approvals, and vendor records; ensuring proper segregation of duties and addressing discrepancies, payment risks, or potential control gaps.
Support reconciliations, financial reporting, and period-end close, including LeafGuard/Englert intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, corporate consolidation reporting, trial balances, eliminations, aging, capital spending, and other recurring financial schedules.
Serve as a key point of contact for vendors, accounting teams, office administrators, shared services, branch leadership, and other departments. Resolve invoice disputes, payment exceptions, vendor inquiries, and customer refund issues promptly and professionally.
Improve AP processes and support system changes, including documenting procedures, reducing manual work and recurring errors, supporting audits, and participating in ERP migration activities, system training, and implementation-related process improvements.
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable, accounting operations, or a closely related field, including hands-on responsibility for high-volume invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, and daily AP activities.
Prior AP leadership or functional ownership experience, including leading, supervising, coaching, or serving as the accountable process owner for an AP team or function while remaining actively involved in daily operations.
Strong accounting and financial controls knowledge, including payment approvals, vendor management, segregation of duties, intercompany reconciliations, period-end close, financial statement reporting, and cash-flow forecasting support.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and AP workflow tools, with the ability to analyze and reconcile high-volume financial data, maintain accurate reporting, resolve discrepancies, and adapt to new systems and processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, business partners, shared services, and accounting leadership while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience. Experience in a multi-entity or shared-services environment involving intercompany activity and centralized reporting is also preferred.
Ability to work a flexible hybrid schedule in New Jersey, typically 2–3 days onsite per week, coordinating office coverage with the AP team as needed.
Additional preferred experience: Prior involvement in ERP implementations or migrations, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and experience improving or automating AP workflows.
