Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely invoice processing from EMC Vendors upon completion of work. Essential Job Functions: Accounts Payable responsibilities, including invoice entry, sales and use tax compliance, vendor relations, inquiries and information requests. Review and reconcile vendor statements. Effectively identify and communicate barriers to success, issues or problems to the Finance leadership team. Assist in composing and processing the weekly Accounts Payable check run. Actively participate in process flow documentation as well as standard operating procedures. Identify opportunities for improvement in process efficiency. Provide back-up support to the Finance team and assist with projects as needed. Support the Finance managers in various related activities, as needed. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities: Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Proven/verifiable skills in Microsoft Excel for tracking and analysis. Able to work well in a team environment as well as individually. Attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and ability to multi-task. Possesses dependability, integrity and professionalism. Strong organizational skills. Strong work ethic. Analytical/problem solver. Ability to meet deadlines. Education: Four-year degree in Business, Accounting or Finance. Experience Preferred/Other Qualifications: 2 years Accounting experience. Physical Job Requirements and Working Conditions: The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
