About Meyer

Meyer Corporation, U.S. is one of the largest cookware companies in the United States, family-owned and headquartered in Vallejo, California. Our portfolio of brands — including Farberware, Circulon, Anolon, Rachael Ray, KitchenAid (licensed), Hestan, Anyday, and Ruffoni — is sold through major retailers, e-commerce platforms, and our own direct-to-consumer sites. We continue to invest in modern finance systems and automation, including NetSuite and HighRadius.

Position summary

The Accounts Receivable Manager leads Meyer’s accounts receivable, credit & collections, reporting directly to the VP of Finance and supervising a team of approximately six. This is a hands-on leadership role: the right candidate combines strategic oversight with a willingness to get into the weeds — reconciling balance sheet accounts, researching deductions to the transaction level, and taking ownership of the numbers. The role manages day-to-day relationships with our factoring partner and with HighRadius, partners closely with Sales and General Accounting, and represents receivables in our audits. Beyond the AR function, the position is expected to contribute broadly as a finance partner and to advance the department’s automation roadmap.

Key responsibilities

  • Team leadership & operational excellence
  • Lead, coach, and develop the AR, and credit team; balance workloads, set priorities, and build bench strength.
  • Own departmental KPIs — DSO, aging, deduction recovery rate, auto-match/auto-code rates — and report them monthly to finance leadership.
  • Maintain and modernize SOPs as processes move onto NetSuite; drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with offshore resources supporting the credit function, ensuring quality and continuity.
  • Partner with Sales on trade allowances in NetSuite iTPM: allowance offsets, accrual accuracy and true-ups, and reconciliation of deduction activity to accrual balances.
  • Run the monthly sales deduction reviews and the quarterly review of high-dollar claims.
  • Produce the monthly chargeback recap (top customers, reason codes, trends) for leadership and drive root-cause elimination across departments.
  • Accounts receivable, collections & credit
  • Oversee billing accuracy, cash application, unapplied cash research, statements of account, and freight claims.
  • Manage the daily relationship with our factoring partner: invoice disputes, liability reporting, remittance details, and new account approvals.
  • Administer credit holds and order release in NetSuite; perform credit and risk analysis on new and high-risk accounts.
  • Own the AR month-end close and the receivables-related balance sheet accounts: complete reconciliations from HighRadius through to the general ledger and research variances to the transaction level.
  • Partner with the General Accounting team at each close to ensure balances reconcile, entries are booked correctly, and reserves are supported.
  • Represent receivables in internal, bank, and external audits: prepare schedules and documentation and respond directly to auditor inquiries.

Systems & automation

  • Serve as HighRadius administrator and internal product owner: bot mapping, AI training data quality, enhancement requests, and the recurring support and account-management meeting cadence with HighRadius.
  • Advance the department’s automation roadmap: expand auto-coding and auto-expensing coverage and identify further processes to automate.
  • Act as an AR/credit superuser in NetSuite; partner with IT and Finance on reporting (saved searches, NSAW/Power BI) and on evaluating new automation and AI tools.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive accounts receivable experience, including 2+ years managing people in a high-volume environment.
  • Hands-on chargeback/deduction management experience with major national retailers and e-commerce marketplaces; consumer products / CPG background strongly preferred.
  • Experience with HighRadius or a comparable AR automation platform (e.g., Billtrust, Tesorio, Esker) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ownership of account reconciliations and month-end close deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills; accuracy and attention to detail in high-volume financial data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including presenting to senior leadership and interacting with auditors.

Preferred

  • Trade spend familiarity: promotional planning, accrual setup and true-ups, spend versus plan — or experience with a TPM platform.
  • NetSuite experience (iTPM a plus); experience implementing or stabilizing a new ERP.
  • Experience working within a factoring arrangement.
  • Experience directing offshore or outsourced team members.
  • Interest in applying automation and AI tools to finance operations.

Compensation & benefits

  • Medical, Dental and Vision
  • Company Paid Life Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Account
  • 401(k) with a 6% match (4% vested immediately, remaining 2% vested over a four-year period)
  • Generous Paid Time Off
  • 8 Sick Days per year, with rollover
  • 12 Holidays, plus two Floating Holidays per year
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Hybrid Work Schedule
  • Dog Friendly Workplace
  • Tuition Assistance Program
  • Adoption/Infertility Benefits
  • Wellness Programs, including a Gym Subsidy
  • Generous Product Discounts
