What You'll Do

As an Administrative Assistant/Weatherization Technician, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the Weatherization Division through a combination of adminstrative, customer service, and field support activities. In this role you will:

  • Provide customer service and assistance to program applicants, clients, contractors, and community partners.
  • Schedule appointments, inspections, energy audits, and contractor activities.
  • Maintain client files, program records, databases, and required documentation.
  • Assist with reporting, purchasing, invoice processing, and inventory tracking.
  • Support weatherization inspections, home assessments, and field activities as assigned.
  • Collect and document information related to energy efficient improvements and project outcomes.
  • Assist with inventory management, material distribution, and warehouse organization.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles used in program operations.
  • Participate in required training and ensure compliance with program and safety standards.
  • Support special projects, emergency response efforts, and other program needs as assigned.

Most importantly, you'll ensure eligible households receive high-quality weatherization services by providing excellent customer service, maintaining accurate records, and supporting efficient program operations.

What We'll Love About You:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Administrative support experience required.
  • Experience in weatherization, construction, housing programs, energy services, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation required.
