Advanced Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a talented professional to create complex electronic designs for the Life safety Fire business within Honeywell Building Technologies

• Design electronic circuits for life safety fire products.
• Create and review schematics, PCB layouts, bills of materials, and design documents.
• Select components for performance, reliability, availability, compliance, and cost.
• Build, test, troubleshoot, and verify prototypes.
• Support regulatory, quality, product release, and offering management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience designing electronic hardware, schematics, and printed circuit boards.
• Minimum of 2 years of knowledge with analog, digital, RF, and power circuit design.
• Ability to design and review printed circuit boards using IPC standards and good layout practices.
• Ability to read data sheets, drawings, assembly documents, and bills of materials.
• Understanding of printed circuit board manufacturing and electronic assembly processes.
• Hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting circuit boards with standard lab equipment.
• Experience selecting electronic components based on performance, reliability, availability, and cost.
• Ability to clearly document designs, test plans, and results.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

WE VALUE

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with PCB design and simulation tools such as Siemens EDA Mentor Graphics, Cadence, or similar software.
• Experience with USB, touchscreens, microcontrollers, sensors, and DC-DC power converters.
• Knowledge of circuit simulation, tolerance analysis, and design verification.
• Familiarity with UL, ULC, FM, FCC, NFPA, and electromagnetic compatibility requirements.
• Experience supporting new product development, existing products, suppliers, and component changes.
• Ability to prepare technical documents and present results to cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

The annual base salary range for this position is <$108,000 - $134,000>. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
