An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced LEAP engine specialist to join a global aerospace organisation as an Advanced LEAP Engine Technical Maintenance Instructor.
The business supports LEAP engine customers around the world, with a strong focus on technical excellence and customer support. This team delivers advanced, hands on overhaul training directly at customer sites, building the capability of the engineers who maintain these engines.
This is a key customer facing position, playing a central role in the team's advanced training and technical support offering.
The Role
You will lead OEM LEAP engine overhaul maintenance training for global customers, delivering onsite, hands on training in classroom and training lab environments.
Training covers engine disassembly and assembly from a full engine down to piece part level, along with tool usage and the application of tooling to engine hardware. All training takes place on dedicated engine training assets rather than production or flight hardware.
The role is based in Brussels for 2 to 3 weeks each month, with the remainder of your time likely to be home based. You will report into senior technical leadership, with additional professional direction from the US engineering programme management team.We are looking for people based in the UK who, are open to travel.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead OEM LEAP engine overhaul maintenance training courses, working to a defined course syllabus.
- Deliver technical maintenance instruction to student personnel who carry out engine maintenance in line with OEM approved maintenance manuals and technical data.
- Conduct practical and theoretical training on GE/CFM LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines in classroom and training lab environments.
- Answer customer technical questions on tooling during training and consultation, using approved technical data to interpret and advise.
- Support training and consultation on engine disassembly and assembly, tool usage and tool to engine application using engine hardware training assets.
- Support onsite customer training courses across day and evening shifts.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced LEAP engine specialist who combines deep technical knowledge with the confidence to teach.
- An in depth working knowledge of GE/CFM LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engine disassembly and assembly, from a full engine to piece part level.
- Specific overhaul experience on LEAP shop modules SM52, SM53, SM54, SM41 and SM51.
- Turbomachinery experience with LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engine maintenance and overhaul, or equivalent.
- Previous OEM engine experience.
- The ability to read and interpret OEM tooling blueprints and specifications.
- The confidence to instruct in person, in front of a group.
- Flexibility to spend 2 to 3 weeks each month working in Brussels.
