About Lucyd

Lucyd is a performance marketing and growth agency helping ambitious wellness brands scale through paid acquisition, retention, creative strategy, and conversion optimization. We specialize in building scalable growth systems for brands operating in complex, policy-constrained markets, which include cannabis, hemp, telehealth, supplements, and functional wellness products. These are categories where most agencies struggle or walk away. We don't.

We're not media buyers running campaigns. We operate as integrated growth partners embedded in our clients' businesses. Solving problems across the full customer journey, from first click to long-term retention. Our team moves quickly, communicates transparently, and operates with a high degree of ownership and accountability.

Why This Role Exists

The Account Manager is the quarterback of the client relationship at Lucyd. You are the primary point of contact for your clients, the connective tissue between every internal team that touches the account, and the person responsible for ensuring clients feel supported, informed, and confident at every stage of the partnership. This is an ownership role, not a coordination role. You are the first and last lines of defense for client needs

At Lucyd, client work is organized into pods; a small, dedicated teams built around a specific book of business. Your pod includes a Growth Strategist, Account Coordinator, Media Buyers, and Designers. You sit at the center of this team.

What You’ll Own

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building genuine relationships with senior decision-makers
  • Lead client calls with prepared agendas, same-day recaps, and clear next steps; own the communication calendar
  • Manage campaign timelines and coordinate deliverables across the pod, resolving bottlenecks before they hit the client
  • Maintain a client health scorecard, track sentiment, and flag churn risk early to the Growth Strategist and leadership
  • Own difficult conversations on sentiment, expectations, and performance without defaulting to leadership
  • Translate campaign performance into clear, client-friendly narratives; prepare or co-prepare monthly reporting and QBRs
  • Route all inbound client requests with context before execution teams act, and sign off on anything client-facing
  • Spot expansion opportunities and work with the pod to build and pitch full-funnel strategy
  • Manage the Account Coordinator's client-facing tasks and support new client onboarding

What You Bring to the Table

  • 3+ years in account management, client success, or a client-facing leadership role, ideally at a marketing or performance agency
  • Proven ability to run multiple accounts at once without losing depth or responsiveness
  • Strong written/verbal communicator with high EQ. Reads rooms, manages tension, handles hard conversations calmly
  • Strong project management skills; keeps deliverables on track across teams without being chased
  • Proactive by default. Flags issues early, brings solutions, and is comfortable in a fast-moving, not-fully-defined environment
  • Familiarity with paid social and the ability to speak to campaign performance confidently with clients
  • Experience with PM tools (Monday.com or similar); deadline-driven, based in or able to work EST
  • Bonus: experience in cannabis, telehealth, or other policy-constrained categories

Why Lucyd

  • Work that matters - our clients are wellness brands pushing into categories that are changing how people think about health and human potential. The space is genuinely interesting, and the work you do here has a real impact on the brands building in it
  • Remote-first culture - we've built our team and our processes around working remotely, and we mean it
  • Autonomy over micromanagement - we hire people we trust and then get out of their way. You'll be given real ownership and the space to exercise it
  • Equipment & benefits stipend - we invest in making sure you have what you need to do your best work
  • Deep Work Fridays - Fridays are protected time for focused, meaningful work. No unnecessary meetings, no noise; just space to move the needle on what matters

Roadmap for Success

In 30 Days, You'll

  • Become fully immersed in your assigned client accounts. Understanding their business goals, objectives, campaign history, and key stakeholders
  • Build your first read on the health of every account and know where each one stands emotionally and strategically
  • Establish working relationships with your pod members and begin building rapport directly with clients
  • Lead or co-lead your first client calls with prepared agendas

In 60 Days, You'll

  • Be running client calls independently. With clear agendas, confident performance narratives, and consistent same-day recaps
  • Have a clear, current client health scorecard across your full book of business
  • Be operating as the checkpoint for all inbound client requests
  • Have identified at least one expansion opportunity across your accounts

In 90 Days, You'll

  • Be the person your clients think of first, the one they call, message, and trust to get things done
  • Be contributing proactive strategic observations about your accounts, not just executing requests
  • Have built a reputation internally as someone who owns their work and doesn't wait to be asked

We'd Love to Hear From You

If you're a relationship-driven, ownership-minded account manager who wants to do your best work in a fast-moving agency built for the hard categories, we'd love to talk.
