Workplace Type: Hybrid

Newmont produces metals the world needs - safely, responsibly and with care for people, communities and the environment. With a 100+ year history, we continue to shape the future of mining through innovation and strong operational performance. By joining our inclusive, world-class team, you can help shape the future of mining and make a meaningful difference.
Cerro Negro is a high-grade gold mining complex located in Argentina's Patagonia region, in the province of Santa Cruz. It consists of multiple underground mines and deposits spread across a large area of the region. Because the operation is located approximately two hours by road from the nearest town, our workforce lives on site and works on rotational schedules.
Life at Cerro Negro takes place in a modern, well-equipped camp where safety, camaraderie, and teamwork are fundamental pillars of our daily activities. This commitment is also reflected in our focus on innovation. In 2022, Cerro Negro became the first underground mine in Argentina to implement remote-operated mining, significantly improving safety and efficiency. This achievement is a clear example of our culture of continuous improvement.
Our team is committed to responsible mining and to supporting the development of communities in this sparsely populated region. Working at Cerro Negro offers the opportunity to be part of a pioneering team in a unique environment, advance your professional development, and contribute to Newmont’s goal of creating sustainable value for the province of Santa Cruz.
