What Supply Chain Planning contributes to Cardinal Health
Cardinal Health Supply Chain Planning is responsible for ensuring the right quantity of products arrive in the right place, at the right time and cost. Accountable for the design and execution of demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning. Supply Chain Planning optimizes inventory to meet customer service level commitments and leverages technology to achieve best in class processes to position supply chain as a competitive advantage.
Job Summary
The Advisor, Supply Chain Demand Planning is responsible for customer demand planning, developing, and maintaining accurate demand forecasts, and leading the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to drive alignment cross functionally to support supply chain and corporate goals.
Responsibilities
- Drive the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Serve as the key facilitator for cross-functional collaboration across finance, sourcing, consumer health, purchasing and key accounts.
- Drive forecast accuracy improvements, validating and challenging inputs from stakeholders, market trends, and system forecast parameters.
- Conduct scenario planning to evaluate the impact of various business scenarios, including local/global supply disruption, customer demand shift, and seasonal planning.
- Ensure accurate and timely data flow to the planning tool, analyzing data to provide actionable insights for inventory decision making.
- Analyze customer demand data, identifying inventory gaps, load holdout in appropriate locations to support customer demand changes or addressing short term demand fulfillment gaps.
- Analyze demand forecast, identifying trends, root causing demand forecast errors, working cross-functionally to address customer demand swing, and taking actions to improve demand forecast accuracy in planning system.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in demand planning and supply chain, preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- Highly skilled in scenario planning and Integrated Business Process (IBP)
- Proven success in improving forecast accuracy.
- Experience building cross functional relationships in a complex environment.
- Strong data analysis with demand forecasting, identifying trends and root cause.
- Experience with Kinaxis Maestro is a plus.
Location: Ideal candidates will be hybrid, working primarily remote with at least 1 day in the Dublin, OH, office per week.
Anticipated salary range: $68,500 - $97,700
