This role is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions to power Arrow Digital’s customer-focused digital experience. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in AEM architecture, component development, and cloud-based optimizations, with a deep understanding of best practices for security, performance, and scalability.

What You'll Do

• Architecture & Delivery: Architect end-to-end headless and hybrid solutions using AEM (Content Fragments, Core Components) paired with React/Next.js for SSR/SSG rendering and SEO optimization.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Guide AEM Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) implementations, leading template, workflow, Dispatcher, and deployment configurations in alignment with Adobe best practices.
• Integrations & Performance: Oversee integrations with Adobe Experience Cloud (CJA, Launch) and third-party systems while troubleshooting complex performance and security issues.
• Technical Leadership & Governance: Drive code reviews, technical design sessions, and sprint planning while establishing architecture standards and technical documentation.
• Team Mentorship: Serve as technical lead to mentor developers and ensure adherence to security, accessibility, UX, and AEM engineering standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with DevOps, security, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate strategic business goals into scalable technical solutions.

Who We’re looking for

• Core Experience: 8+ years of general software development experience, including 4+ years of hands-on AEM experience.
• Core Technology Mastery: Solid fundamentals and hands-on expertise in Java, Apache Sling, OSGi, and JCR/CRX.
• Architecture & System Design: Ability to design, build, and review component-level and backend architectures in AEM.
• Technical Leadership: Proven track record leading code reviews, mentoring developers, or driving technical execution within a team.
• Cloud Basics: Conceptual understanding of cloud-native architecture and local development using the AEM Cloud SDK.
• Headless Fundamentals: Hands-on experience with Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, GraphQL APIs, and JSON Exporters to deliver content to external applications.

Even better if you have experience with (Preferred):

• Over 10 years of experience with AEM Developmetn/architecture.
• Experience as AEM Architect.
• Direct AEMaaCS Experience:
• Advanced AEM Dispatcher tuning, custom security rule configurations, and CDN caching optimization.

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: Fully remote, 0 days in the office. The leadership team could request to go to the office for specific purposes.

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
