Salary: £55,000 + car allowance
Location: Remote, with occasional travel across the operational area

About the role

At Evri, we’re all about delivering a better experience for our customers and our people. Behind our operation is a large and flexible workforce that helps us respond to changing demand and deliver millions of parcels across the UK.

We’re looking for an Agency Workforce Manager to lead the end-to-end management of temporary agency labour across approximately 10 to 15 depot and hub locations.

You’ll ensure we have the right quantity and quality of temporary labour, at the right time and at the right cost, through effective agency partner management, workforce planning, forecasting and performance management.

Working closely with operational leaders and agency partners, you’ll lead the development and optimisation of our agency panel, with a strong focus on supplier performance, operational readiness and planning for seasonal and peak trading periods.

You will be accountable for:

  • Implementing the Agency Workforce Strategy across your designated area, creating workforce plans and forecasts that ensure temporary labour requirements are aligned to current and future operational demand.
  • Managing agency labour supply across approximately 10 to 15 depot and hub locations, supporting 24/7 warehouse and transport operations including warehouse operatives, HGV drivers and van drivers.
  • Managing and optimising the regional agency panel, building strong supplier relationships and holding partners accountable for fulfilment, quality, attendance, productivity, compliance and overall performance.
  • Planning for peak trading, seasonal demand, new sites and changes in operational volume, ensuring sufficient agency capacity is secured and contingency plans are in place.
  • Managing agency spend and commercial performance, including rates, mark-ups, overtime and premium labour, identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency and reduce unnecessary agency spend.
  • Using workforce data, MI and supplier scorecards to monitor performance, identify risks and trends, and drive improvements across fulfilment, retention, attendance and productivity.
  • Ensuring agency activity meets contractual, commercial and compliance requirements, including AWR, right to work, GDPR and health and safety.
  • Working closely with Depot, Hub and Transport Operations and wider stakeholders to resolve workforce challenges, support operational change and continuously improve the agency workforce model.

Leadership and stakeholder management

You’ll work closely with Depot and Hub Managers, Regional Operations, Transport, Finance, Procurement, HR and Legal to ensure temporary labour is managed as an integrated part of the wider workforce strategy.

You’ll build strong, commercially focused relationships with agency partners and confidently influence operational stakeholders, challenge performance where required and translate workforce data into practical actions that improve operational delivery.

Key measures of success

Your performance will be measured through:

  • Agency fulfilment and labour availability
  • Agency spend and budget performance
  • Supplier and PSL performance
  • Agency attendance and productivity
  • AWR and compliance performance
  • Seasonal and peak workforce readiness
  • Reduction of avoidable agency costs
  • Continuous improvement and commercial savings
