To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What you'll be doing The Client Journeys, Value-Add and Modernization team helps shape and deliver servicing experiences that are reliable, scalable, and aligned with our clients' needs; in addition to managing and modernizing a number of payment processing platforms. As a Director, Product Owner, you'll set the vision, goals, and priorities for the Payment Servicing Platform (PSP) Release squad, ensuring your roadmap supports card servicing objectives and broader business and technology strategies. You'll manage a complex backlog, translate business needs into clear delivery priorities, and guide release planning to maximize value while balancing risk, feasibility, and client impact. Working closely with business, technology, operations, and control partners, you'll resolve dependencies, align stakeholders, and support high-quality production releases. You'll also help strengthen squad practices and delivery effectiveness through continuous improvement, operational readiness, and a focus on resilient outcomes. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. How you'll succeed Set product direction - Define and champion the vision, roadmap, and priorities for the PSP Release squad, ensuring alignment with card servicing goals, business strategy, and technology direction. Drive backlog and release delivery - Build, prioritize, and manage the squad backlog by translating servicing needs into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Lead release planning and make informed trade-off decisions related to scope, sequencing, timing, and dependencies. Lead through partnership and influence - Collaborate with Crew Leads, Crew Tech Leads, Chapter Leads, Agility Coaches, squad members, peer Product Owners, and key business partners to deliver outcomes across the full development lifecycle. Manage risk and operational readiness - Incorporate governance, controls, production readiness, and operational resilience into planning and delivery. Proactively assess release impacts, monitor implementation outcomes, and partner with support teams to strengthen performance over time. Navigate complexity across teams - Build strong relationships across squads, crews, business units, and external partners where needed to resolve risks, issues, and dependencies, and communicate priorities, delivery status, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and leadership. Who you are You can demonstrate experience in product ownership and delivery leadership. You have experience in a product ownership, delivery leadership, or comparable business and technology role within an agile environment. You know how to manage complex priorities and guide delivery in fast-paced, matrixed organizations. You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You use sound judgment to balance business value, delivery feasibility, risk considerations, and operational impact. Your influence makes a difference. You can demonstrate experience in backlog management, agile delivery, release planning, stakeholder management, risk and dependency management, and delivery across the full development lifecycle. It’s an asset if you have knowledge of day-to-day banking products, money movement, cards, payments, servicing operations, architecture, data flows, application programming interfaces (APIs), integrations, environments, or cloud concepts. You have a degree/diploma in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. Values matter to you.
