Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for an AI Automation Engineer based in Hong Kong SAR, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The AI Automation Engineer will design, develop, and optimize AI-driven automation solutions to improve manufacturing, testing, and quality processes across light-therapy device production. Daily tasks include building and maintaining automation workflows, integrating robotics and control systems, monitoring performance data, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability. The role also involves troubleshooting automation issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams in engineering, R&D, and operations, and documenting system configurations and best practices. The AI Automation Engineer will contribute to scaling production capacity while supporting regulatory compliance and continuous innovation in phototherapy technologies.
Qualifications

• Strong automation and process control skills, with experience designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems.
• Practical knowledge of electrical engineering and robotics, including integration of sensors, controllers, and robotic equipment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex automation and control issues in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with AI/ML tools or algorithms applied to automation, predictive maintenance, quality control, or process optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with industrial standards, safety practices, and regulated manufacturing environments; experience in medical devices or high-tech hardware is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, multicultural teams and communicate technical concepts clearly in English; Chinese language skills are a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to work on-site in Hong Kong SAR with some remote flexibility.
