As we continue expanding our AI capabilities and investing in intelligent automation, we are seeking an experienced AI Builder to design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI solutions that solve real business problems.
This is not a research or machine learning scientist position. We are looking for someone who excels at building practical AI applications by leveraging existing models, frameworks, and APIs to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is an engineer who understands both technology and business, enjoys shipping products end-to-end, and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
Position Summary
As an AI Builder, you will own the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of AI-powered applications that improve internal operations and customer experiences. You will build intelligent agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, workflow automations, and AI assistants while ensuring security, scalability, and reliability in production environments.
You will work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI can eliminate repetitive work, streamline workflows, and create measurable business value. This role requires someone who thinks beyond writing code—you'll be expected to understand business objectives, evaluate available technologies, and build complete solutions from prototype through production.
What You'll Do
AI Solution Development
- Design, build, and deploy AI agents and internal AI assistants from concept to production.
- Develop production-grade Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including document ingestion, chunking strategies, embeddings, vector search, reranking, and evaluation frameworks.
- Build AI-powered workflows that automate repetitive business processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop scalable backend services that integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into business applications.
- Continuously optimize AI systems for performance, reliability, latency, and cost efficiency.
Agent Architecture & Orchestration
- Design multi-step AI agent workflows with tool usage, memory management, retries, state management, and orchestration.
- Implement robust prompt engineering and context management strategies.
- Evaluate and select the appropriate orchestration frameworks based on business requirements.
- Build modular, maintainable AI architectures capable of supporting future enhancements.
Automation & Systems Integration
- Automate internal workflows using tools such as n8n and third-party APIs.
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing business systems and operational processes.
- Connect AI services with databases, external APIs, and enterprise platforms.
- Design reusable automation pipelines that improve productivity across departments.
Production Engineering
- Deploy AI applications using Docker and modern deployment practices.
- Monitor production systems for reliability, performance, and operational health.
- Optimize infrastructure, observability, and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system stability.
Security & Compliance
- Build solutions that handle sensitive healthcare data while adhering to HIPAA-aware development practices.
- Ensure AI systems follow security best practices, data privacy standards, and responsible AI principles.
- Design architectures that prioritize reliability, maintainability, and compliance.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- 5+ years building and deploying production apps.
- Strong Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS experience.
- Proven track record with AI-powered apps using LLMs — including production-ready AI agents, conversational systems, and RAG architectures used by real users.
- Deep knowledge of prompt engineering, function calling, context management, and LLM optimization.
- Experience with AI orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Mastra, Vercel AI SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, or similar).
- Strong PostgreSQL and NoSQL database skills.
- Experience with vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone, Qdrant, or equivalent).
- Docker, containerized deployments, and ability to independently deploy, monitor, and maintain production systems.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Advanced English (C1+).
- AI-First Mindset: We want someone who approaches development with an AI-first mindset and delivers practical solutions fast. Ideal candidates bring experience with:
- LLM platforms: OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, or similar.
- AI agent development & orchestration frameworks.
- RAG architectures, semantic search, and vector databases.
- Function calling, tool integration, and prompt evaluation.
- Workflow automation (n8n or similar).
- REST APIs, third-party integrations, and cloud deployment.
- Cost optimization, latency management, and production monitoring.
- Building AI systems that prioritize reliability, maintainability, and security.
