AI-Enabled Data Engineer (Full-Stack) Location: Remote – LATAM Type of Contract: Full-Time Salary Range: Market Rates Language Requirements: Advanced English (Written & Spoken) Our client is seeking a skilled AI-Enabled Data Engineer (Full-Stack) with expertise in API integrations, cloud data platforms, and AI-assisted software development to join their growing team. You will play a key role in designing and building the company's centralized data infrastructure, integrating financial and operational systems into a scalable reporting platform. Your work will directly impact business intelligence, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making by delivering reliable, real-time data and intuitive dashboards. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain integrations with accounting platforms, beginning with QuickBooks Online, while expanding support for additional ERP and financial systems over time. Research and help implement a long-term integration strategy for QuickBooks Desktop and other legacy accounting platforms. Consolidate data from multiple operational systems, including accounting software, field service platforms, and reputation management tools, into a centralized cloud database such as Supabase/PostgreSQL. Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, automated synchronization processes, and monitoring systems to ensure accurate, reliable, and continuously refreshed data. Design and optimize relational database schemas, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity as new integrations are introduced. Build modern web-based reporting dashboards using technologies such as React or Next.js, delivering an intuitive user experience for non-technical stakeholders. Manage authentication, OAuth workflows, API rate limiting, pagination, webhooks, logging, and error handling across multiple third-party integrations. Leverage AI development tools—particularly Claude Code—to accelerate development, debugging, testing, documentation, and code generation. Communicate proactively with stakeholders by providing regular updates, identifying blockers early, and recommending technical solutions and tradeoffs. Must-Have Qualifications Demonstrated, real-world experience using AI coding tools, especially Claude Code, as an integral part of the software development lifecycle. Strong experience building and maintaining REST API integrations, including OAuth 2.0 authentication, webhooks, pagination, and rate limiting. Advanced SQL and relational database expertise, including schema design, data modeling, query optimization, and PostgreSQL. Experience developing and maintaining production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines and automated data synchronization processes. Proficiency with at least one backend programming language such as Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or a comparable language. Experience developing reporting platforms, custom dashboards, or business intelligence applications using modern front-end frameworks such as React. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently research, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with experience collaborating directly with U.S.-based stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with the QuickBooks Online API or QuickBooks Desktop SDK. Hands-on experience with Supabase and PostgreSQL-based cloud architectures. Experience integrating field service management platforms such as ServiceTitan, Jobber, or Housecall Pro. Familiarity with accounting and financial concepts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), journal entries, and chart of accounts. Experience building user-friendly interfaces with React, Next.js, or similar modern JavaScript frameworks. Knowledge of orchestration and synchronization tools such as Airbyte, Fivetran, n8n, serverless functions, or scheduled automation jobs. Experience designing scalable, cloud-native data platforms from the ground up.
