Our client is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to take AI and Generative AI solutions from architectural design through to production-ready implementation. This is a senior technical leadership role with a strong hands-on component, responsible for guiding engineering teams, ensuring delivery quality, and driving the successful deployment of innovative AI-powered solutions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing scalable, secure, and maintainable AI applications while collaborating closely with architects, product owners, stakeholders, and operational teams.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience across software engineering, AI, cloud technologies, data engineering, or related technical domains.
• At least 3 years of technical leadership experience within software or AI-focused teams.
• Strong software development expertise across backend and front-end technologies, ideally with Python.
• Experience building APIs, scalable applications, and enterprise-grade solutions.
• Proven hands-on experience with:
  • Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • RAG architectures
  • Prompt engineering
  • Vector search technologies
  • AI-powered workflows and automation
• Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications, preferably within Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Software testing methodologies
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Version control systems
  • Observability and monitoring
  • Security best practices
  • Production support operations
• Knowledge of MLOps, LLMOps, data engineering concepts, and secure integration patterns.
• Track record of delivering secure, scalable, production-ready solutions within Agile environments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
• Strong interest in emerging AI technologies and innovation.
• Fluent English language skills.
