About EdgeUno

EdgeUno is a US-based technology infrastructure company headquartered in Miami, with a strong operational presence across Latin America, including Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Ecuador. We enable digital businesses to scale with high performance and reliability by providing connectivity, IP Transit, private networks, data centers, bare metal, and cloud solutions to ISPs, hyperscalers, content providers, and global technology companies.

Role Overview

We are looking for an AI Engineer who thinks disruptively about how a company runs. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work across every function at EdgeUno, including sales, finance, service delivery, network operations, and people, to find the work that is slow, manual, or outdated and replace it with something better. Sometimes that is an AI agent. Sometimes it is an automation. Sometimes it is removing the process altogether.

This is a builder role, not a research role. You will ship working tools in days and weeks, measure whether they made a difference, and iterate. You will work closely with our AI & Data team and with the people who own each process.

Location: Remote, based in the Miami, Florida area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Find what should change. Sit with teams across the company, map how the work really gets done, and identify the highest-value things to automate, fix, or eliminate.
  • Build and ship. Design, build, and deploy AI agents, LLM-powered workflows, and integrations that take manual work out of day-to-day operations.
  • Connect systems. Integrate the tools the company runs on (CRM, ERP, HR, ticketing, and network and monitoring systems) through APIs, so information flows without copy and paste.
  • Challenge the process itself. Ask why a process exists before automating it. Simplify or remove steps when that is the better answer.
  • Measure impact. Set a baseline for each project and report the hours saved, cycle time reduced, and errors removed.
  • Raise AI adoption. Help colleagues use AI in their own work through practical examples, short training sessions, and reusable tools.
  • Build responsibly. Protect company and customer data, keep people in the loop where decisions carry risk, and document what you build so others can maintain it.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on work building LLM-powered applications, agents, or automations that people use every day.
  • Strong Python or TypeScript skills, and comfort with APIs, SQL, and data pipelines.
  • Practical experience with LLM APIs and techniques: prompt design, tool use, retrieval (RAG), and evaluation.
  • Experience integrating business systems through APIs and webhooks.
  • A track record of taking an unclear problem from first conversation to working solution with little supervision.
  • Clear communication with non-technical teams, and the confidence to question how things have always been done, respectfully.
  • English B2+.
  • Based in the Miami, Florida area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with agent frameworks, the Model Context Protocol (MCP), or workflow automation platforms.
  • Experience automating business operations in finance, sales operations, or service delivery.
  • Background in telecom, networking, data center, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese.
  • Experience in a startup or another lean, fast-moving team.
