AI Engineer (Arabic B2+ Required )
Location: Remote (Sri Lanka) Full Time Contract:8-12 Months

About the Role
We are looking for someone who speaks Arabic at B2 level or above to join a AI Voice Infrastructure project. You will help build state-of-the-art Arabic speech technology: text-to-speech (TTS), real-time speech recognition (ASR), and speech-to-speech conversational systems for regional dialects (Gulf, Levantine, Egyptian, etc.).
Arabic fluency is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Benchmark TTS and ASR models on Arabic test sets (WER, naturalness, dialect coverage).
- Fine-tune generative architectures for voice cloning and zero-shot speaker adaptation.
- Build and maintain Arabic-specific data pipelines (audio sourcing, diacritization).
- Optimize inference for production (quantization, KV cache tuning) to ensure low latency.
- Integrate and evaluate full-stack speech-to-speech pipelines.
Qualifications
- Mandatory: Spoken and written Arabic at B2 level or above
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred; diploma or equivalent
- At least 3-4 years of professional experience.
- Senior engineer who has owned quality for a shipped product, not only tested it
- Hands-on in Python and TypeScript, with Playwright or equivalent browser automation and experience owning CI gates
- Built a test framework or evaluation harness from scratch and kept it running in CI
- Speech metrics, LLM evaluation or telephony experience is a bonus, not the core
Nice to have:
- Experience with high-performance CUDA kernels or speculative decoding.
