AI Engineer (Software Engineering Focus)

On behalf of a forward-thinking technology consultancy and product partner that designs and builds scalable, high-impact digital solutions for industry-leading global and enterprise clients in Northern Europe, we are on the lookout for AI Engineers with solid Software Engineering foundations.

We are looking for practitioners who go beyond research and experimental notebooks to build, optimize, and deploy AI-driven capabilities directly into production systems. If you have hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, and AI services, combined with the engineering discipline to write clean, maintainable backend code, this role is for you.

What We Are Looking For

• Core AI & ML Experience: Proven hands-on experience building and deploying AI capabilities in at least one or more of the following:
• Designing, implementing, and optimizing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines.
• Deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) and foundation models into production environments.
• Integrating and orchestrating AI APIs and services (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models).
• Prior work in AI-first product companies or complex, production-grade AI initiatives.
• Solid Software Engineering Foundation: 2 to 5 years of professional engineering experience with core backend stack tools (such as Python, Node.js, TypeScript, or similar). You know how to build clean APIs, write scalable production code, and handle data pipelines.
• Front-End & Full-Stack Awareness (Nice to Have): Familiarity with modern Front-End frameworks (e.g., React) is a plus, but the primary focus is on production AI Engineering and Backend Integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and optimize AI workflows, prompt orchestration, and RAG pipelines for production use cases.
• Integrate LLMs and advanced AI capabilities into core backend software architectures.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to translate high-level AI concepts into robust, enterprise-grade features.
• Maintain strict standards for code quality, system latency, security, and scalable software delivery.
