Description
When it comes to innovation and achievement there are few organisations with a better track record. Join us and you’ll be able to play a big part in the success of our highly successful, fast-paced business that opens up Europe so that people can exercise their get-up-and-go. With almost 300 aircraft flying over 1,000 routes to more than 32 countries, we’re the UK’s largest airline, the fourth largest in Europe and the tenth largest in the world. Set to fly more than 90 million passengers this year, we employ over 10,000 people. Its big-scale stuff and we’re still growing.
Over the last 30 years, easyJet has disrupted the travel industry, changing the way people fly across the UK and Europe. Today, with a fleet of over 300 aircraft and 85 million annual passengers, we are still innovating. What sets us apart is our "Orange Spirit"—our passion, forward-thinking mindset, and sense of fun.
The role
AI is changing how organisations work. But as the number of AI tools, copilots, and autonomous agents grows, visibility, trust, governance, and value become critical. At easyJet, we're building the systems that help colleagues understand what AI exists across the business, how it's performing, whether it's being managed safely, and where it delivers value. This role will be at the centre of that mission
We're looking for an experienced product leader to own and evolve our AI estate visibility capability, creating the systems, products, and experiences that make AI discoverable, understandable, trustworthy, and actionable across the organisation.
The Opportunity
As our AI Estate & Observability Lead, you'll own the strategy, roadmap, and evolution of the platform that serves as the system of record for easyJet's AI estate.
This isn't a traditional IT service management role, and it isn't simply about reporting or dashboards. You'll approach the challenge as a product leader, focused on solving real user problems and delivering measurable value. You'll shape how AI tools and agents are discovered, governed, assessed, and monitored across the business.
You'll work at the intersection of product management, AI strategy, governance, user experience, and organisational transformation, partnering with stakeholders across Digital Safety, Legal, HR, Communications, Engineering, Finance, and the wider AI programme.
Requirements of the Role
What You'll Be Doing
Define the Vision
- Own the strategy and long-term roadmap for AI estate visibility and observability.
- Shape how AI tools and agents are represented throughout their lifecycle, from onboarding to retirement.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on AI estate performance, governance, and value.
Build Outstanding Product Experiences
- Develop a deep understanding of colleagues, governance teams, engineers, and business leaders.
- Drive continuous user research and discovery.
- Create intuitive experiences that help users find, understand, trust, and adopt AI solutions.
Lead Product Delivery
- Own and prioritise a value-driven product backlog.
- Drive development of features including:
- AI catalogues and registries
- Search and discovery experiences
- Trust and assurance signals
- Governance workflows
- Observability and usage insights
- Define and measure success through meaningful outcomes rather than activity metrics.
Enable Governance at Scale
- Translate governance and safety requirements into clear product experiences.
- Ensure assurance, compliance, and risk indicators are surfaced effectively.
- Work closely with governance stakeholders while maintaining clear accountability boundaries.
Collaborate Across the Business
- Partner with AI programme teams, tool owners, engineers, communications specialists, learning teams, and external vendors.
- Build consensus and influence decisions without direct authority.
- Help establish the foundations for future AI operations and agent management capabilities.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in Product Management, Product Leadership, or Product Ownership roles.
- Experience delivering enterprise software, internal platforms, SaaS products, or knowledge-based products.
- Strong understanding of today's AI tooling and emerging AI agent landscape.
- Expertise in user research, product discovery, and customer-centred design.
- Experience working with information architecture, search, taxonomy, marketplace, or discovery products.
- Ability to operate comfortably in complex, fast-changing environments.
- Experience prioritising product roadmaps and balancing competing stakeholder needs.
Desirable Experience
- Internal app store, catalogue, marketplace, registry, or governance platform experience.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar solutions.
- Knowledge of AI governance, Responsible AI, compliance, or risk frameworks.
- Experience with observability, telemetry, or data platforms such as Databricks.
- Exposure to enterprise search, knowledge management, or taxonomy development.
- Experience within aviation, travel, or other operationally complex industries.
You'll Thrive Here If You...
- Think like a product manager rather than a process owner.
- Are fascinated by AI and where the technology is heading.
- Enjoy creating structure in emerging and ambiguous spaces.
- Focus relentlessly on user outcomes over feature delivery.
- Enjoy building new capabilities rather than maintaining established ones.AI Tools
- Are excited by the challenge of helping an organisation manage a growing digital workforce of AI tools and agents.
Why Join Us?
This is a rare opportunity to define how one of Europe's leading airlines manages, governs, and scales AI across the enterprise. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI visibility, trust, and observability while helping to build a capability that will become increasingly critical as AI agents and autonomous systems continue to grow across the business.
