Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Frontend Developer to join a leading manufacturing company on a large-scale digital innovation programme. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and developing modern web applications whilst integrating AI-powered capabilities that enhance operational efficiency, user experience, and business processes.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with product owners, UX teams, backend developers, and AI specialists to deliver scalable and user-focused solutions.


Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern front-end applications using React and TypeScript
• Design intuitive user interfaces for AI-enabled business applications
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI services through APIs
• Collaborate with backend and cloud engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Build reusable UI components and maintain development best practices
• Optimise application performance, accessibility, and responsiveness
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Support testing, debugging, and continuous improvement activities
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to technical decision-making
• Ensure security and compliance standards are followed throughout development
  
  

Required Experience

• Proven experience developing enterprise-grade frontend applications
• Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience integrating AI technologies and conversational interfaces
• Understanding of AI concepts including prompt engineering and LLM workflows
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and cloud-based services
• Knowledge of frontend architecture and component-based development
• Experience within complex international project environments
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Azure OpenAI or Microsoft AI services
• Knowledge of manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain environments
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with containerised environments and cloud-native applications
• Experience working within large transformation programmes
