Role Description The AI Fund Manager is responsible for managing and growing TCS VC’s AI-focused investment portfolio in a full-time, remote role. Day-to-day work includes sourcing and evaluating AI startups, performing detailed financial and market analysis, and building investment theses across sub-sectors such as infrastructure, applications, and frontier research. The role involves leading due diligence processes, structuring and negotiating investment terms, and collaborating with founders to support portfolio company strategy, fundraising, and governance. The AI Fund Manager will prepare investment memos, present recommendations to the partnership, monitor portfolio performance, and contribute to thought leadership and market insights in AI and adjacent frontier technologies.
Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills, including quantitative modeling, market analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in investments and investment management, ideally within venture capital, growth equity, or hedge funds.
• Solid foundation in finance, including valuation techniques, capital allocation, and portfolio construction.
• Knowledge of equities and broader capital markets, and their relevance to private-market technology investing.
• Deep interest in AI and frontier technologies, with the ability to understand technical concepts and emerging trends.
• Proven ability to source deals, build relationships with founders, and maintain a professional network in technology ecosystems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting investment memos, presenting to stakeholders, and representing TCS VC externally.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and make decisions under time constraints.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in finance, economics, engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in venture capital, AI startups, or technology-focused investment roles is highly beneficial.
