AI Infrastructure Engineer - CLEARED

Overview

Our client is a large global integrator. They are seeking an AI Infrastructure Engineer. In this role you will support the modernization of applications within the client's program by designing, deploying, and managing secure AWS infrastructure and AI/ML integrations. You will build reusable Terraform modules, manage infrastructure artifacts through Artifactory, develop connector services integrating Amazon Bedrock with internal systems, deploy custom and fine-tuned models, and implement cost and usage observability across AWS environments.

Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE.

Responsibilities

• Define IAM roles, VPC endpoints, Knowledge Bases, and Guardrails as reusable, version-controlled Terraform modules rather than through manual console configuration.
• Version, manage, and distribute reusable infrastructure artifacts, including Terraform modules, container images, and Lambda packages, through Artifactory.
• Build and deploy connector infrastructure, including MCP servers and Lambda-based integrations, connecting Amazon Bedrock to internal APIs, databases, and ticketing systems.
• Host, version, and maintain connector services as production infrastructure alongside other application services.
• Deploy custom and fine-tuned models using Amazon Bedrock Custom Model Import and Provisioned Throughput.
• Evaluate cost and commitment tradeoffs associated with Provisioned Throughput and custom model deployments.
• Build cost and usage observability capabilities to track spend by model and developer and implement budget alerts to prevent uncontrolled cost growth.
• Support secure cloud modernization efforts for applications supporting background investigation operations.
• Develop infrastructure and deployment processes that promote consistency and reproducibility across development, test, and production environments.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance and Security+ certification.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS Bedrock resources, including IAM, Knowledge Bases, Guardrails, VPC endpoints, and Provisioned Throughput, with experience developing reusable, version-controlled modules.
• Experience managing and distributing versioned infrastructure artifacts through Artifactory to support reproducible deployments across development, test, and production environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying custom and fine-tuned models using Amazon Bedrock Custom Model Import, including experience with open-source model weights and model size/format requirements.
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock Provisioned Throughput and associated commitment and cost planning.
• Experience building and operating connector and integration services using technologies such as AWS Lambda, ECS, and containers to expose internal data sources to Amazon Bedrock agents.
• Experience developing and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services through code, version control, and repeatable deployment processes.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Reinforcement Fine-Tuning (RFT) workflows on Amazon Bedrock.
• Experience with Application Inference Profiles for per-team cost attribution.
• Experience working within multi-account AWS Organizations environments supporting development, test, and production separation.
• Experience integrating Terraform and Artifactory promotion workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
• Cross-cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Azure and/or GCP.

Compensation:

• W2 Hourly rate: $70 - 85/hr. Pay rates are based on experience, qualifications, location, and certifications, and are subject to change at any time.
