Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a key enabler of PALFINGER’s future growth, innovation, and competitiveness. To accelerate our AI journey, we are looking for a visionary and influential leader to drive and execute PALFINGER’s company-wide AI strategy. As AI Manager, you will lead initiatives across three strategic pillars: AI for everyone (enterprise-wide AI adoption), AI-driven functional excellence (process optimization and efficiency), and AI-enabled products and services (customer-facing innovation). Working within a hybrid operating model, you will orchestrate AI activities across the organization, combining centralized governance with decentralized execution to ensure scalable adoption, effective governance, and measurable business impact. We offer flexibility regarding the primary work location, with the possibility to be based in either Vienna or Bergheim . _____ Your Responsibilities: Define, continuously refine, and execute PALFINGER’s AI strategy across all three pillars Act as the central engine, facilitator and orchestrator of all AI activities across functions and regions with clear interfaces to all major stakeholder and functional AI champions Establish and enforce a clear governance for AI tools and use cases by implementing a structured funnel process and managing requirements of the PALFINGER AI platform Proactively identify high-value AI opportunities across the organization and guide/advise functions in identifying, shaping, assessing and implementing AI use case; deliver positive and high-impact AI business cases with the functions Build a strong AI culture across PALFINGER and drive the creation and evolution of a external partner network _____ Your qualifications: Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field 7+ years of experience in digital, data, AI, extensive project and program management skills Strategic thinker able to translate vision into strategy and drive execution Strong communicator, storyteller, networker and influencer, able to address diverse audiences and translate AI topics into business impact Passion for driving change and organizational transformation Fluent in English _____ WHAT WE OFFER: Flexible working hours with no core time and possibility to work from home Further training and international career opportunities Corporate health management "PALfit" Company restaurant with freshly prepared meals and daily meal subsidy Job ticket for travel to and from PALFINGER Numerous employee discounts through Corporate Benefits Minimum yearly gross salary according to the Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 60 962,30 EUR based on full-time employment.
