AI Prompt Enginee

Role Description The AI Prompt Engineer will design, refine, and test prompts to improve the performance and reliability of AI language models for media and communication use cases. This part-time remote role involves collaborating with content, strategy, and research teams to understand requirements, translate them into effective prompt structures, and document best practices. Day-to-day tasks include experimenting with different prompt formats, analyzing AI outputs, optimizing for clarity, bias reduction, and relevance, and building prompt libraries for repeated use. The AI Prompt Engineer will also support training sessions, create guidelines for stakeholders using AI tools, and stay current with emerging AI capabilities and ethical considerations.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and structured experimentation with AI tools and language models.
• Ability to write clear, concise, and context-aware prompts, with attention to nuance, tone, and audience in both English and Arabic (or strong proficiency in at least one and willingness to learn the other).
• Experience working with generative AI platforms (e.g., large language models), including testing, evaluation, and refinement of outputs.
• Understanding of media, communication, or digital content workflows, and the ability to translate sector needs into practical AI use cases.
• Familiarity with AI ethics, data privacy, and responsible use of technology in a non-profit and community-focused context.
• Comfort working remotely, managing time independently, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional, diverse teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in a relevant field (such as Communications, Media, Computer Science, Data Science, or related disciplines), or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in prompt engineering, content creation, or AI-assisted workflows is preferred but not required; strong motivation to learn and experiment is essential.
