NTT DATA strives to hire exceptional, innovative and passionate individuals who want to grow with us. If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization, apply now.
We are currently seeking a AI Service-as-Software Solutions Architect to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
Key Responsibilities
Client Strategy, Discovery & Executive Solutioning
- Engage C-suite and functional executives to identify high-friction workflows, value leakage, decision bottlenecks, and outcome pools that justify an AI-native transformation.
- Lead executive briefings, discovery sessions, design workshops, and value workshops that move the conversation from isolated AI use cases to reimagined end-to-end business work.
- Translate ambiguous business priorities into a clear problem statement, future-state workflow, stakeholder model, measurable outcomes, roadmap, and investable solution hypothesis.
- Create persuasive, business-first narratives, demos, POVs, proposals, and executive presentations that show how governed AI agents perform work rather than simply showcase platform features.
Service-as-Software Solution Architecture
- Own the end-to-end solution blueprint across business process, domain logic, agents, human-in-the-loop controls, data and knowledge, integrations, security, observability, governance, operating model, and value measurement.
- Determine what should be client-specific, reusable at the industry-solution layer, or provided by the underlying enterprise AI platform; prevent unnecessary custom builds and platform forks.
- Convert representative workflows into capability architectures, agent interaction models, functional and non-functional requirements, deployment prerequisites, evaluation criteria, and delivery-ready backlogs.
- Guide architecture choices across hyperscalers, enterprise applications, data platforms, APIs, event flows, identity, model services, and customer environments while maintaining a composable, platform-led design.
- Ensure solutions include trustworthy-AI controls, auditability, policy enforcement, role-based access, data protection, resilience, release management, and measurable value attribution.
Pursuit, Commercial & Deal Leadership
- Lead strategic AI pursuits from qualification through closure, integrating account, industry, domain, product, platform, AI delivery, security, legal, finance, and managed-services perspectives into one coherent offer.
- Shape outcome-based commercials, platform and services constructs, implementation phases, managed-services models, assumptions, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and KPI-linked value cases.
- Direct the development and quality review of SOWs, pricing inputs, solution estimates, delivery responsibilities, IP and reuse positions, security commitments, and customer-facing architecture materials.
- Identify pursuit risks early, drive decisions across organizational boundaries, resolve ownership gaps, and maintain credibility on scope, timeline, economics, and customer commitments.
Delivery Mobilization & Value Realization
- Remain accountable through the transition from pursuit to delivery, ensuring the sold vision is converted into executable requirements, architecture, work packages, governance, and a realistic mobilization plan.
- Establish the delivery pod, roles, decision rights, RAID discipline, architecture governance, product dependencies, client inputs, and escalation paths required for successful execution.
- Validate that agent workflows and recommendations remain aligned with business process realities, human accountability, risk controls, user adoption, and the agreed value case.
- Define KPI baselines and outcome measures, support executive checkpoints, and ensure lessons from delivery are harvested into repeatable assets and future offerings.
Portfolio & Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and deploy a team of solution architects, domain SMEs, industry leads, and pursuit contributors; establish clear ownership, quality standards, development plans, and decision cadence.
- Manage the portfolio and forward pipeline, balancing near-term customer deadlines with strategic investment in scalable industry capabilities, accelerators, and reference architectures.
- Represent the practice in leadership reviews, customer forums, internal enablement, town halls, and strategic planning; communicate progress, risks, priorities, investment needs, and decisions crisply.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience spanning enterprise solution architecture, technology-enabled transformation, consulting, presales, product or platform solutioning, and large-scale delivery.
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder AI or digital-transformation pursuits and convert uncertain client needs into funded, executable programs.
- Deep understanding of Agentic AI and GenAI patterns, including orchestration, tools and skills, workflow state, knowledge grounding, human approval, evaluation, observability, security, governance, and enterprise integration.
- Strong business-process orientation across two or more domains such as manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, engineering, customer operations, finance, or enterprise services.
- Experience designing solutions across cloud, data, application, integration, security, and operating-model layers without losing the business outcome or user journey.
- Demonstrated strength in business cases, value pools, KPI frameworks, commercial constructs, solution estimation, SOW development, executive storytelling, and contract-risk discussions.
- Executive presence and the ability to influence C-suite clients, senior internal leaders, product teams, architects, domain experts, sales teams, and delivery organizations.
- Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams in a matrixed, global environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building or scaling AI-native offerings, Service-as-Software, managed AI services, industry platforms, or outcome-based solutions.
- Hands-on familiarity with enterprise AI platforms and major hyperscalers, plus integration with SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft, data platforms, and industry applications.
- Experience establishing reusable reference architectures, solution playbooks, demo portfolios, governance mechanisms, and product-to-delivery operating models.
- Background in manufacturing and products industries, with exposure to complex global accounts and cross-functional transformation programs.
- Relevant cloud, architecture, AI, product, program, or change-leadership certifications.
What Success Looks Like
The successful leader can step into an executive client conversation, identify the business work that should be transformed, shape a differentiated Service-as-Software proposition, and mobilize the right people to turn that proposition into a credible deal and executable solution. They bring enough technical depth to challenge architecture and delivery decisions, enough commercial judgment to protect the deal, enough domain curiosity to reimagine workflows, and enough leadership range to run a high-performing solutions group across multiple strategic pursuits.
