🎯 Your mission

As an AI Software Engineer, you will be at the heart of the company's mission to revolutionize software integrations for businesses across Europe. You'll lead AI-focused engineering projects end-to-end, from designing agentic workflows to building highly available API/MCP infrastructure.

You'll work closely with a talented, dynamic team, with real ownership over your technical challenges — a role built for someone who wants to deepen their backend expertise, take on responsibility, and grow in a fast-paced startup environment.

🛠️ Your responsibilities

You'll work across three fronts: the product, the integrations, and the tooling that lets the team build faster than the market.

• Build LLM-powered features inside the product: mapping suggestions, anomaly detection, intelligent monitoring, error recovery, smarter onboarding. You'll spot where AI genuinely improves the client experience and turn those into shipped features, not demos.
• Design the best architecture for highly available and scalable APIs/MCPs.
• Make integrations agentic: move from deterministic syncing to flows that can reason, recover from errors, and reduce the manual mapping work clients dread today. You'll lead that shift end-to-end, from architecture to production.
• Automate how connectors are built and maintained: with 120+ connectors today and the ambition to reach hundreds, you'll build the AI-powered tooling that lets a small team ship and maintain that scale — connector generation, automated testing against real APIs, documentation that stays in sync with the code.
• Set the technical bar for AI across the company: evals, prompt versioning, telemetry on agentic flows, safety and cost guardrails. You'll define the practices the rest of the engineering team follows when putting LLMs into production.

🔎 What we're looking for

• Computer Science graduate or self-taught
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 1-2 years shipping production-grade AI systems (LLMs, agentic workflows, RAG, evals). Startup experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience building or working with AI systems: LLMs, agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, or similar.
• Hands-on experience building MCPs.
• Technical skills:Strong Python knowledge; SQL and TypeScript are a plus.
• Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and modern tooling (Docker).
• A genuine interest in business logic: integrations touch financial tools, so understanding the logic before coding is essential.
• Curiosity and a love of challenges; you want a solid overall understanding of the technologies involved.
• Startup mindset: the environment is more "rock and roll" than corporate — open-minded, resourceful, curious, and a strong team player.
• Ownership and a "doer" spirit: the small size of the team means you'll take the lead on multiple topics.
• Languages: Native French required; English and Dutch are a plus.
